The word Namaste can be both a word and a gesture. Although the word Namaste does not translate well, are found throughout the world translated, such as:
The divine in me salute the divine in you, or: I show honor to the inner light in all living things.
Often the greeting Namaste is 'prettier' translation, for example in a poem:
I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides.
And when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, there is one of us.
In Sanskrit means "Namas" "bending venerable greeting. "Namaste" means "I bow to you." The greeting itself, the gesture is also called "Namaskara" and "Namaskar".
